A visit to the hospital can kill you, and you can read the links if you dont believe me. And I don't mean that an already dying person might die in the hospital, what is the FACT is that many times people go to the hospital with a minor ailment and come back with deadly diseases and infections.
I think the future of medicine will go through a phase that focusses on treating people as remotely as possible, like typical doctor's visits. Most of the time when I go to the doctor, all he does is have a nurse take my weight, BP, pulse and body temperature then we have a short discussion and he prescribes a test or drug. All that could be done over the internet with the right equipment. The person-to-doctor visit in the future would be over a Skype like application that can collect and send the vitals for the doctor to review.
Perhaps it is already starting

And this way no one picks up a deadly infection or gives it to the doctor or his staff.
How many die from medical mistakes at hospitals?
The USA medical system is the nations 3rd leading cause of death.
Attrocious doctor handwriting causes injury or death to one and a half million each year in USA.
Two million get new infections at USA hositals each year and 100k are fatal
Superbugs spread by hospital wipes
Seriously, don't ever go to the hospital for treatment if you can possibly stay out of it.
